All the way from Australia it is a pleasure to welcome Anthony Foti, Show FX’s Creative Designer, to open the TOTAL Champion of Champions Pembrokeshire Waterway Annual Firework Competition. Anthony, a multi award winning designer, is the seventh generation in his family to be part of the fireworks industry. Through his innovation and creative edge in his designs, Anthony has been instrumental in assisting Show FX to grow into a reputable special effects company, who are undoubtedly well on their way to becoming world leaders in the field. Show FX won the first inaugural World Pyro Olympics in Manila in 2005 and have been contracted to perform a display for the King of Thailand’s 80th Birthday Celebrations later this year. The company has grown from strength to strength over the past 13 years, producing an average 500 shows and displays ranging from small private functions to major international events each year. Winner of the British Firework Champion of Champions 2006 in Plymouth Jubilee Fireworks have been staging firework spectaculars since 1987. No stranger to competitions Jubilee was the first company to be awarded the title “British Musical Fireworks Champions” in 1999. Their displays are characterised by innovative design, rhythm, beauty and concussion – combining to produce a stunning sensory experience. They also fired shows in Rome, San Sebastian (Spain), Portugal, Malta and the Maldives New Year's Eve Celebrations. To the firework enthusiasts Jubilee Fireworks are perhaps best known for organising the annual “Festival of Fireworks” – a major collaboration between several leading UK companies. 10.00pm Competitor: WestCoast Fireworks



Pembrokeshire own WestCoast Fireworks have always aimed high and relish any chance to compete with other companies on the big stage. Having had successes in the British Musical Firework Championships, with a win in 2005 and a 3rd place in 2006 Westcoast fireworks team of dedicated firers were also invited to participate in the 1st China International Musical Fireworks Competition held in Shanghai, where the Westcoast team were awarded ‘The Best Organization of Musical Fireworks’. In January of this year Westcoast Fireworks went on to compete in and win the World Pyro Olympics, held in the Philippines, beating among other nations China, America and Australia, a great achievement for a Welsh company.
